Job Description

Matrix is hiring Scaffolders for an exciting long-term project in Halifax, NS. 8 hours per day. No LOA or travel as we are looking for local candidates for this role. The Scaffolders will be working indoors in a controlled environment. Additional overtime is being offered for this position. The pay rate is $37.12/hr. Our client has been building quality vessels for over 50 years and have been in the forefront of the Canadian shipbuilding for over 130 years.*Referral Bonus provided for referring a candidate for employment!Work Responsibilities:

  • Erect, dismantle, inspect, certify scaffolding
  • Perform care and preservation work
  • Wear company issued coveralls and/or work wear and all assigned Personal Protective Equipment
  • Work safely
Requirements:
  • Experience in Scaffolding
  • Journeyman Scaffolding ticket
  • Fall protection ticket
  • Confined Space Entry ticket
  • WHMIS 2015
  • HSE Orientation
  • ISI Medium Voltage Cable Training
  • ISI Lockout Tag Training
  • ISI Security Orientation (In Person)
  • Must be able to commute to work daily.
Qualifications:
  • You must be eligible to work in Canada to apply for this job
  • A pre-employment Government Security Clearance/Background and Credit check will need to be completed
  • Full PPE + Fit Tested Respirator Mask.
