These centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.We are currently recruiting for top talent in Learning & Development Specialist- If you are on top of your profession and possess the following key skills, we invite you to apply to our openings.Responsibilities:

  • With input from the Senior Leadership team, create and implement the account’s learning and development strategy through a diversity and inclusion lens.
  • Partner with internal teams to evaluate performance gaps and/or program needs and recommend appropriate learning solutions through research and a consultative process.
  • Manage relationships with internal subject-matter experts and external training consultants as needed to ensure the delivery of appropriate learning and development experiences.
  • Create training curriculums, design training content, and deliver training to small, medium, and large size groups using various forms of technology to support training delivery.
  • Lead the onboarding of new hires across various locations.
  • Design, launch, and manage a required learning curriculum for management/leadership to ensure anyone that takes on a management/leadership role on the account has the same fundamental knowledge and learnings through our in-house L&D.
  • Foster employee engagement, employee growth, and service excellence by leading the continuous L&D of every employee, at every level, across the program.
  • Oversee the execution of internal workshops, training sessions, and other learning experiences.
  • Maintain and regularly update training material.
  • Create skill development roadmaps using best-practice adult learning principles.
  • Provide logistical oversight for large audiences to plan and execute training events.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define success metrics, measure, and report on the results and the overall impact of L&D programs, services, and operations.
  • Monitor and track end-user experience (satisfaction surveys and other analytics); document feedback and use it for continuous improvement.
  • Manage several complex training projects and ensure efficient project management under tight timelines.
  • Provide regular status updates on L&D projects/initiatives.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for L&D-related questions.
  • Research new trends and approaches in the learning industry and serve as champion for a learning culture within the organization.
  • Maintain employee training records to ensure organizational compliance.
  • Assist with career path development, identifying relevant competencies, and helping employees set career goals and career expectations.
  • Ad-hoc requests to support the Project Management Office (e.g., process improvement, etc.)
  • Must be located onsite at our IBM office in Bedford, Nova Scotia
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
  • Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in a learning and development or organizational development role.
  • A comprehensive understanding of L&D principles and adult education.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with high attention to detail and proven ability to prioritize competing demands and priorities.
  • Strong communications skills (listening, verbal, written, presentation preparation, and delivery), including engaging with senior stakeholders.
  • Strong interest in e-learning and storyboarding.
  • Ability to adapt and be flexible with changing requirements.
  • Eligible to obtain Government of Canada Enhanced Reliability clearance.
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
  • Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Development, Education, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • Adult learning/education certification.
  • Experience working with a learning management system and e-learning development tools.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of culture and change management.
  • Experience working in diverse communities (work or volunteering), and experience developing programs and initiatives to promote an equitable and inclusive culture.
