You are someone who is always ready to explore new ways of creating content that is distinctive, intelligent and innovative.CBC Nova Scotia is looking for a Lineup Producer to support the production of a 60 minute supper hour newscast for Nova Scotia and line-up and produce a 30 minute late night newscast for Atlantic Canada.Reporting to the Executive Producer, the successful candidate will bring energy, creativity and deep visual storytelling expertise to the news programs. This includes generating daily program ideas and program content.The producer should understand the wide range of communities we serve in Atlantic Canada and be able to think creatively about how we reach and represent them in our programming.In addition to vetting scripts, writing program continuity, editing video and creating graphics, the producer will take an active interest in the overall content, texture and production values of the programs and how video is represented on our digital platforms and social channels.The producer will provide vetting for digital and radio news stories as needed.In addition to producing the daily television program, the Producer must be an advocate for our online and digital platforms.You bring to the role experience and knowledge of television programming, innovative thinking, and a knowledge of how TV and digital media intersect to benefit the audience. Working with CBC Nova Scotia’s news leadership team and the team at CBCNews.ca, you will help grow our audience and position CBC as a vibrant, relevant multiplatform service valued by more Nova Scotians than ever before.You will work closely with our assignment producers to ensure Nova Scotians are kept up to date and informed on relevant, local stories. You will also work closely with the Sr. Producer of Digital and Radio Current Affairs producers to ensure sharing of story ideas and efficiencies.
