LINKS Literacy InstructorChisholm Services for ChildrenAre you a looking for a unique opportunity as a literacy instructor and mentor who supports children in their development of literacy skills This role is as much about learning as it is teaching. Do you have the skills, desire, and passion to help children learn different ways to decode, blend and develop phonemic awareness and to develop a positive relationship with literacy Would you like to work on a team of likeminded individuals, who all share the goal of igniting a love for reading in children If you answered yes to any of these questions, then this is the position for you.The LINKS Literacy Program is a not-for-profit organization located in Halifax providing literacy education for children aged six (6) to twelve (12). Children that participate in the LINKS program are often diagnosed with a learning difference and/or at least one year behind grade level in reading. The goal of the LINKS Literacy Program is to help children develop literacy skills to become more confident readers at no cost to them.As a LINKS Literacy Instructor, you have the opportunity to work on site, or remotely, collaborating with a dedicated team of Literacy Instructors and Supervisors, undergo training to develop lesson plans based around the LINKS literacy curriculum, and build relationships with children through reading.
