Live-In Caregiver with Parkwood Home Care***Please read the information below in entirety before applying for the position***What is a Live-in Caregiver

  • Living 24/7 within a clients home for 14 days in a rotation with another caregiver.
  • Working with the client during the day and sleeping in a designated room during the night, being able to get a full nights sleep.
  • Assisting the client with personal care, light housekeeping, meal preparation, errands and companionship during day time hours.
  • Being available during the night time for emergencies while in the clients home.
Primary focus of a Live-In Caregiver within Parkwood Home Care is to contribute positively to the clients quality of life by promoting their independence, dignity, social, emotional, and physical well-being. Supporting their mobility, personal appearance, comfort, and safety are also important aspects of caregiving. Caregivers assist the client with activities of daily living! Depending on a clients needs, a caregiver may assist with performing personal care tasks, light housekeeping, assisting with meal preparation, and companionship.You will live in the clients home for one or two weeks at a time!Experienced Live-in caregivers needed: As a live-in home caregiver, you are contracted by Parkwood Home Care. You will live in your client’s home (on a rotational basis) with them and you will become a truly valued part of their life. If you are looking for continuity, being a live-in home caregiver could be the ideal role for you.What we look for in a live-in caregiver:
  • A genuine kind, compassionate, caring nature required
  • Reliability and commitment
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills and fluent English is essential as many of our clients are hard of hearing or visually impaired
  • Ideally car drivers either with or without a car but a license, however this is not mandatory.
  • Willingness to learn.
