Irving Shipbuilding Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Planner. This is a permanent full-time role based in Halifax Regional Municipality, Nova Scotia. Qualifications: Education: Post-Secondary Education - Trade certification or college diploma Trade certification or college diploma Experience: 2 - 5 years of relevant work experience Demonstrated planning ability for Industrial or Engineering environment. Proven ability to operate within a CMMS program with additional experience utilizing MS Office Suite packages. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work with cross functional departments. All successful applicants must meet requirements for Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), Canadian Government Security clearance, and U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Key Responsibilities: Planning Plans maintenance activities Develops scope of activity budget and duration Participates in material and equipment ordering. Preventative maintenance review process Review preventative maintenance activities to ensure effectiveness. Coordinate maintenance priorities: Maintenance work orders Service contracts Shipyard parking Maintenance program improvements Participates in maintenance program improvement initiatives. Proposes improvement activities for assigned tasks. Key Performance Indicators Completes assigned activities to meet or exceed department key performance indicators. Manages daily work order backlog. Ensures 4-week look ahead planning is complete.
