We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Personnel to join our team at Hampton Inn & Homewood Suites Halifax.Maintenance Personnel work as a part of the engineering team to operate, repair, and maintain all hotel facilities in a quick, efficient, and professional manner.Responsibilities include:· Perform preventative maintenance, repair, retrofit or other tasks as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor in a safe manner within shop practices and hotel standards· Monitor and maintain all building systems· Maintain exterior grounds and safe passageways for all guests and associates· Process work orders as assigned· Maintain Maintenance shop and inventory· Maintain exterior grounds and safe passageways for all guests and staff· Consistently offer professional, engaging and friendly service and leads by example· Perform all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with established company policies and procedures to achieve the overall objectives of this position· Maintain a favorable working relationship with all other company employees to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate· Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information· Contribute to a healthy and safe work environment by reporting all safety hazards, following WHMIS and Fire safety training, and working in a safe manner.· Consistently practice guest and associate privacy and security· At all times project a favorable image of the Hampton Inn & Homewood Suites to the public· Consistently demonstrate our brand values – Engagement, Quality, Performance, Growth and Integrity· Is a member of the crisis response team· Other duties as assigned by managerPreferred Education & Qualifications:· High school diploma or equivalent· Minimum 2 years’ experience in a general Maintenance environment· Electrical, plumbing and HVAC experience an asset· Previous preventative maintenance program experience an asset· Previous experience in a hotel environment an asset· First Aid, WHMIS, an assetWorking Conditions:· Role requires standing, moving, bending· Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance· Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time.If you are interested in joining our great team, we want to hear from you!To Apply, click "Apply Now."Job Type: Full-timeSalary: From $16.77 per hourBenefits:
