Reporting to the Director of Business Intelligence and Data Science, the Manager of Data Architecture provides leadership for a team focused on modernizing Eastlink’s data and information stack. The Manager will play an essential role in implementing our strategy of data modernization and democratization within Eastlink, providing the solutions and support to the Business that will successfully enable this transformation. Eastlink will challenge you in actively developing our Snowflake cloud environment while collaborating within our larger BI and Data Science team on the implementation of new BI Tools.With expertise in cloud data storage and access, the Manager will be key to powering Eastlink’s data architecture toward the future. The Manager will be essential in delivering success, to not be satisfied to sit behind the curtain -- the Manager of Data Architecture will be front and center not only as a people leader within the organization, but as a technical resource as well, diving in hands-on to support their team.As the ideal candidate, you have 2 years’ experience managing a technical team developing data warehousing solutions in a cloud environment. You have 5 years’ experience in data warehouse architecture. Using this experience, you will lead and develop a team responsible with the design decisions to expand our Snowflake data warehouse footprint, building our strategic and tactical roadmap while introducing and adhering to data architectural best practice. Eastlink requires someone to take data and transform it into information by managing change, developing data governance and mastery to support great decision making. You are experienced in ELT/ETL, data processing, curation and storage; you bring knowledge of modern BI Toolsets, in their advantages and capabilities; you understand protecting the privacy of our data is tantamount to success; you are a champion of our vision, a collaborator and natural problem solver.Responsibilities

• Design decisions related to the expansion of our Snowflake data warehouse
• Leadership to empower your employees through trust and development
• Collaboration with internal and external customers and partners to meet data and corporate goals
• Maintain the strategic and tactical roadmap for Eastlink’s data footprint
• Develop and drive adherence to data governance best practice
• Champions data driven decision making within the Business and promote data maturity with key stakeholders
• Technical leader for the BI Team as a whole for cloud data architecture

Requirements:

• At least 5 years’ experience in a management or leadership role
• At least 7 years’ experience in data warehouse architecture and delivery
• Experience with architecture design and solution delivery in a cloud environment
• Extensive experience with ELT/ETL tools, data processing, curation and storage
• Significant experience with modern BI toolsets (Tableau, Power BI, Thoughtspot, etc.) is required
• Experience implementing Agile principles and practices is an asset
