If this sounds like a work environment you’d thrive in, you might be a great fit for our team!We are currently seeking a Manager, Financial Reporting & Analysis to join our team based in our Halifax, NS office.Type of Position: Full-Time, Contract (18-months)Close Date: Sunday, August 21, 2022The Opportunity:An integral member of the Finance leadership team, the Manager, Financial Reporting & Analysis is responsible for managing the Firm’s financial and management reporting, ensuring strong financial controls and procedures are in place, and assisting the Director, Finance in the development of the Firm’s budget, forecasting activities and strategic initiatives.In particular, the Manager, Financial Reporting & Analysis provides timely and accurate financial reporting to senior leaders, analyzes the Firm’s operating performance, provides recommendations and insights to improve results, as well as manages forward-looking financial projections by providing a monthly operating forecast and assisting with the annual operating budget.Additionally, the Manager, Financial Reporting & Analysis will coordinate the monthly financial close and reporting processes including journal entries, account reconciliations, working papers, and resulting management reporting packages. The successful candidate will further be responsible for liaising with an external accounting firm to complete annual audits, overseeing the Firm’s accounts payable functions, handling the cash flow projection schedule, and managing a team of finance professionals, as well as various other related duties & projects as assigned.If you are a CPA with senior financial management experience and a continuous improvement mindset, with strong technical abilities in accounting principles, practices and procedures, we want to hear from you!
