These programs help build and support a diverse and inclusive workforce.The division coordinates the Nova Scotia School for Adult Learning (NSSAL), administers the General Education Development (GED) testing program, supports capacity-building through the Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) funding program and the International Qualification Recognition (IQR) program, and ensures fair registration and labour mobility practices through the administration of the Fair Registration Practices Act (FRPA) and the Canada Free Trade Agreement Implementation Act labour mobility provisions.About Our OpportunityThe Manager, Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) and Labour Mobility (LM) reports to the Director, Adult Education and is responsible for the management of labour mobility programs through the successful implementation of the Labour Mobility Chapter of the Canadian Free Trade Agreement (CFTA) and Nova Scotia’s Fair Registration Practices Act (FRPA) as well as the coordination and delivery of the recognition of prior learning funding program and the international qualification recognition (IQR) funding program. This work helps build and support a diverse and inclusive workforce. To be effective in this role, the manager must coordinate the division’s work with multiple provincial departments, self-regulating bodies across the province, immigrant settlement agencies, and post-secondary institutions.Primary Accountabilities
