You must self-identify at the application stage.The OpportunityThe Recruitment & Employee Experience team is a division of the People & Organization Development (POD) department. Reporting to Director, People and Organization Development, the Manager, Recruitment and Employee Experience will be a member of a dynamic and highly collaborative People Leadership Team (PLT), contributing to the implementation of IWK Health’s People Strategy and aligning it with strategic and operational plans.In this newly created role, you will work closely with the leadership team to lead the development of recruitment, retention, and employee experience strategies for all IWK Health’s employees and support physicians. You are responsible for the management of the full scope of recruitment and employment life cycle activities. • University Degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience required.
• Minimum seven (7) years Human Resource Management experience in the areas of employee & labour relations, recruitment & employee experience, compensation and benefits management is required.
• Minimum two (2) years of human resources experience in a formal leadership role in a complex multi-union environment or unionized health care sector is required.
• Registered Professional Recruiter (RPR) designation an asset.
• Membership in Human Resources Associations and other relevant organizations an asset.
• Outstanding leadership, team building, coaching, mentoring and collaboration skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Understanding and knowledge of collective agreement interpretation, employment guides, and applicable legislation.
• Competencies in other languages an asset.
