We are looking for a full-time MOA to fill the vacant. The number of hours scheduled will be 35 hours per week, shifts are 9.00am to 5.00pm from Monday to Friday for one week, and 1.00pm to 8.00pm Monday to Thursday and Saturday for second week.Please include a cover letter with your resume.Located in downtown Halifax, Springview Family Practice is a very busy practice with a good reputation, consisting of two-family physicians, and we are looking for a third doctor. Our physicians are usually fully booked.Overview: The MOA is responsible for providing a professional and positive impact when dealing with patients and performs a variety of tasks such as greeting patients, answering phones and replying emails, sending receiving and organizing files and charts, stocking medical supplies and samples, and performing miscellaneous clerical duties such as ordering supplies and printing off electronic patient materials from a computer.Responsibilities: o Assists with helping physicians with examinations.o Relays patient concerns and information to the appropriate member of the health care team.o Cleans and stocks physician rooms and other designated areas with necessary supplies.o Responsible for maintaining medical supplies.o Performs general service duties including preparing requisitions and samples to send out to lab, reports, inventory control,o Reception duties: booking of appointments; including reason for visit in appointment line, appropriately retrieving, photocopying documents, receiving, sorting and sending facsimiles, scans radiologic and consultant reports into the patient’s EMR (Electronic Medical Record).o Ensuring good working order of medical equipment and knowledge of use.o Operates scanning equipment according to established procedures to convert information on a paper document into a digital image that can be accessed and viewed by a computer terminal.o Open patient chart and insert appropriate stamp into chart in preparation for the Physiciano Other duties as required.Qualificationso High school diploma and successful completion (or current enrollment) of medical program such as Medical Office Assistant.o Excellent understanding and regular use of medical terminologyo Previous Practice Solutions EMR software experiences an asset.o Positive attitude, pleasant and professional manner in person and over the phone.o Excellent problem-solving skills and demonstrated ability to work both independently and as a team member to achieve desired results.o Excellence in customer service and exceptional interpersonal skills.o Exceptional organizational, time management and prioritization skills.o Ability to work well under pressure and handle difficult situations in a calm manner.o Ability to produce high quality in accordance with center standards.o Must be able to handle work volume fluctuations; proactive, reliable and flexible.Job Types: Full-time, PermanentSalary: From $15.00 per hourSchedule:
