The Network Administrator is a part of the internal IT support team which provides comprehensive IT support to the various divisions of The Shaw Group. The administrator works with the Director and team to maintain service levels to support Shaw Group operations and growth. This position reports to the Director of IT Operations and works directly with leaders and staff across the organization.Ideal Candidate – Takes pride in creating an end user experience focused on customer service, responsiveness, communication, and first call resolution. Can effectively coordinate service based on operational urgency, safety, and senior leadership downtime. The ideal candidate will contribute to the culture in the IT department focused on availability, reliability, responsiveness, and quality.An individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential duty listed below. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Key Responsibilities & Priorities: · Participate in the planning and scheduling of the daily delivery of service, application administration, production support tasks, infrastructure operations and monitoring, change management and problem management. Directly or with vendor support as needed, this includes, but not limited to:o Server and Network infrastructureo Firewall Management (Fortinet)o Virtual Environment (vSphere)o Enterprise Wi-Fio Infrastructure and end user securityo Evergreening and updating of the above as necessary· Working directly with vendors ensuring services are delivered according to agreed service levels, standards, or other contractual agreement.· Identify opportunities to improve services or the cost of services by changing services levels, standards or approaches to service delivery.· Communicate in advance outages, changes to services, standards, or service levels.· Maintain documentation including IT services, configuration items, and assets.· Participate in change management ensuring changes to the IT environment are coordinated, approved in advance, and performed within agreed change windows.· Participate in IT improvement projects such as physical component or application upgrades.· Develop guidance for how IT systems should be supported, configured, and used.· Assist in the coordination of training and technical support to end users.
