If you thrive on this type of work, then we need your people-smarts and keen mind as an Operations Data and Reporting Consultant on our Operational Initiatives Team.Your responsibilities would include:

  • Using your analytical skills and critical thinking to ask questions, understand sophisticated business processes and creating automated solutions using tools such as Power BI, SQL, CRM, and SharePoint and embedding good risk management practices along the way
  • Supporting existing Operations reporting needs and delivering accurate self-serve reporting solutions using tools such as SQL Reporting Services, PowerBI, SQL, VBA, Access, and Excel using various data sources
  • Conducting current state analysis and documenting business processes.
  • Connecting and communicating with stakeholders regularly to understand their businesses, systems and processes to pinpoint processing or data gaps and to highlight areas of opportunity that will help move our business forward
  • Using a variety of requirements modelling techniques - such as user stories, process mapping, acceptance criteria, and business rules - to convey information
  • Providing consulting support for complex Operational initiatives by understanding business data interdependencies to identify efficient solutions
  • Capitalizing on your ability to build and foster positive, effective relationships to strengthen your partnership with key stakeholders
  • Delivering documented solution requirements so that everyone has a clear and consistent understanding of the proposed solution
  • Using your strong communication skills to lead/collaborate with working groups and present information to all levels within the company
  • Preparing our business partners for changes that are introduced and articulating what it will mean for them specifically
  • Writes and executes test plans and test cases for your initiative and validate expected results
  • Using your analytical skills and critical thinking to ask questions, understand our business drivers and needs, and bring order and precision to scope and requirements on Operational initiatives

QualificationsAm I right for the job
  • Bachelors or diploma in Computer Science/Business Administration
  • 5 years or more of relevant work experience
  • You are proficient in using TSQL/SQL Server, stored procedures and creating complex SQL queries
  • You have advanced knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VBA Macros), Access, Visio, Power Automate, Power Apps, PowerBI and SharePoint reporting services
  • You are knowledgeable in Process Management and Optimization approaches, methodologies, and tools such as LEAN, Six-Sigma, and BPMN
  • Familiarity with computer programming concepts and database architecture is an asset.
  • You are familiar with web technologies like HTML, VBScript, R, JavaScript, CSS, and tools such as InfoPath and QlikView
  • You have demonstrable experience in learning new technologies and tools at a rapid pace
  • You have extensive experience creating business reports that provide insight into key data points
  • You serve as a thought leader for low-tech/no-tech solutions to drive value for the business.
  • You are a strategic thinker with the ability to think conceptually beyond day-to-day business realities and to effectively consider downstream impacts
  • You successfully manage competing priorities like a champion
  • You maintain your composure and best-self during challenging times or challenging interactions
