Position DetailsPosition InformationPosition Title Part-Time Academic (HESA 6361) Business Law in the Healthcare Context Winter 2023Posting Number PTAP1697PDepartment/Unit School of Health AdministrationLocation HalifaxJob Summary & Key ResponsibilitiesThe sessional lecturer will teach a one-half credit course, HESA 6361, Business Law in the Healthcare Context, in the graduate-level Healthcare Law Certificate for Non-lawyers during the winter term (January-April 2023). This is a fully online course, delivered using Microsoft Teams and Brightspace, including one evening three-hour synchronous lecture per week. For the course description, please refer to the Dalhousie Academic Calendar. Job responsibilities: all aspects of teaching and administering the course, including developing course content for lectures/tutorials, delivering course content, setting and evaluating assignments/exams , being available outside scheduled class time to field student queries. The Sessional Lecturer is the Professor of Record for this course. The position reports to the Director of the School.Qualifications/Requirements of PositionJuris Doctor (JD) and knowledge of business law are required. Relevant teaching experience is a strong asset.
