Position DetailsPosition InformationPosition Title Part-Time Academic (INTD 1103.03- Halifax and the World : Part II)Posting Number PTAP1269PDepartment/Unit International Develop StudiesLocation HalifaxJob Summary & Key ResponsibilitiesA part-time academic is required to teach INTD 1103.03, “Halifax and the World: Part II”, in the winter term of the 2022-23 academic year, January 9 – April 11, 2023. The part-time academic is responsible for all aspects of teaching, grading and administration of the class, including the required tutorials. In addition, the part-time academic is to be available for two hours per week outside of class time for student consultation. The part-time academic reports to the Chair of the IDS Department.The expectation is this course will be delivered in-person; however, due to the current COVID-19 outbreak and ongoing extensions to social distance protocols, Dalhousie University may elect to move this course online. Experience with teaching in an online environment is required. All instructors hired to teach online will be supported by Dalhousie’s Centre for Learning and Teaching, and Academic Technology Services (support@dal.ca) to deliver their courses online.
