We are looking for individuals who are specifically pertain to training availability.As a Wellness Coach, you play a vital role with direct member support within our fitness facility. Wellness Coaches serve an integral function in ensuring responsive, meaningful fitness services. This position supports achievement of operational goals through enhanced member experience, engagement, and retention.Responsibilities include

• Provide group and individual orientations on the weight floor
• Periodic checks and supervision of the track
• Maintain a clean and well-organized weight and cardio floor (cleaning protocols for COVID will be upheld)
• Provide a safe culture for YMCA members and staff through proper usage of fitness centre equipment and proper gym etiquette
• Upholding all YMCA policies, procedures, and best practices
• Supervision of the weight floor willing to give corrective feedback, coaching tips and support to members as needed
• Offer regularly scheduled fitness classes and fill in when needed

Qualifications and Skills

• 1-2 years experience working in the Fitness industry
• Certified YMCA Wellness Coach; NSFA Resistance Leader; Group Fitness certification in Strength with personal experience on the weight floor or equivalent. All group fitness certifications an asset.
• Strong customer service/sales skills, with demonstrated ability to build relationships and establish rapport with clients
• Bilingual in French, Arabic, etc. is an asset
• Excellent verbal & written communication skills
• Self-motivated, with strong attention to detail
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Flexibility to work irregular hours is required, evenings, weekends, holidays and early mornings.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
