We hire self-motivated individuals with a strong work ethic, integrity and a commitment to improvement.Location: 15 Shoreham Ln Suite 101, Halifax, NS B3P 2R3Position: Permanent Full Time- Monday- FridayJob descriptionThe Payroll Clerk functions as a cohesive member of the Administration Team. They assumes responsibility for payroll processing, maintaining employee benefits as well as employee records.Responsibilities and Duties

  • maintain employee records
  • make deductions and remittances
  • prepare balances and reconciliations
  • prepare monthly statements
  • prepare employee payments and benefits
  • process forms and documentation for administration of benefits
  • compile payroll related reports
  • inform employees concerning payroll and benefits matters
  • prepares T4s for employees
  • other duties as required
Qualifications and Skills
  • Minimum 3 years experience processing in-house payroll within a computerized environment
  • Experience in pension and benefit administration
  • Certificate in Canadian Payroll Association an asset
  • Possess an excellent working knowledge in Microsoft office and accounting/payroll systems
  • Experience within a unionized environment an asset
