We’re ready when you are!Position SummaryThe Healthcare Staff Supervisor role is administrative in nature, providing fulltime hours and requires in-person office work with 1-2 days remote work. Reporting to the Carecor branch director, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that our people deliver safe and consistent care - maintaining our exemplary level of client service. Where required, you will provide direct, on-site clinical observation and supervision of Carecor’s unregulated healthcare providers at our client facility sites. A large part of the role will include orientation and support of newly hired healthcare providers, gathering performance feedback from our clients, and following up on complaint/incidents as required.Responsibilities

• Verify that healthcare providers are properly attired and professional in appearance and manner.
• Provide N95 Mask Fit Testing (scheduling and testing)
• Evaluate and provide verbal and written feedback to healthcare providers and documents in their personnel profile.
• Assist with completing probationary reviews for new hires and assist with completing annual healthcare provider performance reviews and engages branch region director of client services as needed in coordination with existing healthcare client service team.
• Liaise with healthcare providers to obtain feedback on assignments, quality improvement and risk management issues and learning needs.
• Write, review, and update policy and procedures related to the healthcare staff supervisor role
• Participate in weekly local leadership meetings, healthcare staff supervisor meetings, and other Carecor meetings as required
• Contributes to other projects within Carecor, including quality improvement initiatives and Accreditation Canada audits.

• Personal Support Worker (PSW)/ Continuing Care Assistant (CCA) or equivalent certificate, or an Internationally Educated Nurse (IEN) working as a PSW or Care Team Assistant (CTA) with plans to stay in practice.
• Minimum of 1-year experience working in an acute care hospital on a medical or surgical unit.
• Strong clinical and training skills - previous supervisory and/or training experience with healthcare providers an asset.
• Ability to use MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
• Strong communication skills, outgoing personality, strong conflict resolution skills
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Current N95 Mask Fit Test Certificate
• Proof of current immunization for measles, mumps, rubella, and varicella (MMRV)
• Proof of negative TB skin test within the past year or negative chest x-ray within the past 5 years
• Willing to undergo Vulnerable Sector Police Check as a condition of hire
