Additional benefits include:approximate hourly wage: $19.38 - $22.80Comprehensive health and dental benefits plan including an Employee and Family Assistance ProgramRRSP program (5% employer matching)Vacation accrual (begins immediately) and travel insuranceFree onsite parkingEmployee discounts on select apparel, fitness, and retail partners through our Perks ProgramAccess to continuing education and training through Shannex’s Centre of ExcellenceOpportunities to be part of sector innovation and continuous improvement initiativesRecognition and Rewards for service excellence and safetyAbout the OpportunityPrepare and administer individual and group physical therapyAdministers and assists residents with therapeutic intervention programs as developed by the PT and OT, such as range of motion, progressive resistive and stretching, ADLs;Assists residents in ambulation, with or without an ambulatory aid, under the direction of the PhysiotherapistDocuments according to policy and procedures (e.g Daily Resident Care Record, resident progress notes, incident reporting, PPCA, Critical Incidents etc.).Observes and monitors residents’ response during treatment and responds accordingly to ensure safety; note conditions and progress for reporting to PT/OT;Maintains equipment inventory and assists with department audits, cleaning and inspectionsAbout YouYou have a Physiotherapy Assistant Diploma from an approved college or you have a Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology.
