PROCESS MANAGEMENT SPECIALISTLocated at 3099 Barrington Street in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, B3K 5M7, and 35 Micmac Boulevard, Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, Canada, B3A 4Y8, Irving Shipbuilding is proud to be Canada #39;s National Shipbuilder. Monitor KPIs to measure process performance and ensure first time quality, coaching and training to support all the above activities.This is a permanent full-time role based in Halifax Regional Municipality, Nova Scotia.   • Education:
  • Bachelor #39;s Degree, preferably in Business or Engineering
  • Six Sigma Green Belt would be an advantage
  • Experience: 5 years of relevant experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with Shipbuilding or knowledge working with a Government or Naval customer base would be considered an asset
  • Demonstrated experience in Process Management, Process Development/Improvement related projects
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage through teamwork and influence non-direct reports
All successful applicants must meet requirements for Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), Canadian Government Security clearance, and U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).Key Responsibilities:
  • Coach members from various levels of the organization to update and create process documentation with subject matter experts to standardize and improve processes
  • Manage and maintain robust system data throughout the Process Management Lifecycle, including reporting on Process Management metrics and projects as required
  • Facilitate process identification sessions using various tools, confirming key inputs and outputs to identify and inform other functional areas of potential process risks and gaps
  • Create approval documentation for new and updated processes in response to requests from the business and monitor within the process system until Concurrence
  • Maintain the process confirmation system by creating a monthly schedule and communicating upcoming workload to the business as assigned
  • Document and system maintenance such as metadata changes and document redlines
  • Create and assign process document (Process Classification Framework) numbers as requested by the business
  • Work with the Strategyamp; Governance management team to promote employee engagement, foster team relationships, and improve processes within the department
