Yorkville University has an opening for the role of Production Design Specialist.This role can be performed remotely across Canada or at our Fredericton Campus.The Production Design Specialist works in a team environment and in collaboration with departments from across the institution. As part of a team, the Production Design Specialist will develop a variety of multimedia assets for implementation in new courses, new programs, and support services for students, faculty, and administration at Yorkville University and Toronto Film School.Primarily, this position is responsible for the design and development of online media elements.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Develop materials that are consistent with our standards and branding guidelines.- Work closely with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to develop engaging learning content.- Design and develop new and /or revise existing course content to meet learner needs using best practices in instructional design and engaging technology.- Implement various training mediums to actively engage students and staff using realistic decision-making activities and problem-solving scenarios.- Visualize and design instructional graphics, the user interface, and the finished product.- Develop exercises and activities that enhance the learning process within various programs and platforms (Storyline, PowToon).- Create engaging supporting material/media (audio, video, simulations, demos etc.) for various departments within the company.- Video production and post-production works as required- Testing and evaluating new online technologiesPOSITION PROFILE- A degree, diploma, or certificate in Education Technology, or a relevant area -Graphic Design, Animation, and/or Multimedia would be ideal.- 2-3 years of online technology-based work experience.- Experience in visual design aesthetic and user interface practices- Style and aesthetic skills in the design of graphic work, materials, and other digital media.- Communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact with a variety of people with various levels of technological sophistication.- Embrace continuous change and exhibit the adaptability to work within realistic, yet demanding deadlines- Able to develop web-based, interactive simulations- Ability to write effective copy, instruction text, and audio/video scripts- Ability to work independently and with other team members- Time management and organizational skills to set short-term priorities while working on several projects simultaneously under strict deadlines.- UX Design experience is an asset.Technical Requirements- Adobe e-Learning/Creative Suite Applications (Photoshop, Illustrator, XD, Premier, and Audition)- Articulate Storyline 360, iSpring, PowToon- HTML/CSS- Audio and video editing software and processes- Web meeting software (i.e. Zoom, MS Teams, Adobe Connect)- Expertise in MS Office 365- WordPress development- FileZilla FTP*You will be asked to provide a portfolio of your work.Interested applicants should forward their resume and cover letter to the HR department.About Yorkville UniversityFounded in 2004, Yorkville University is a Canadian university with a national presence.
