Job Description

We are looking for a methodical, personable, experienced project lead to join our team and help us grow our organization. You will report to the General Manager and project champions to provide project management leadership to the organization on two major projects, Labour Market Information and Micro Credentials as well as other minor projects such as Experiential Learning and Diversity-Equity-Inclusion initiatives. You will ensure the on time, on budget, on quality execution of all assigned projects in a highly collaborative environment. You will be required to perform at a high level of competency and independence.Responsibilities

  • Lead Key Projects by planning and overseeing the end-to-end delivery of assigned projects, using standard project management practices, relationship building skills and a highly collaborative approach.
  • Translate vision into high-level scope, deliverables, and/or designs. Facilitate and/or support joint planning in the early stages of project formation. Work with partners and/or third-party vendors as engaged.
  • Determine project communication and engagement requirements; provide regular, visible, and clear communication to steering committees, Board of Directors and other relevant partners, on project progress, risks and recommendations. Participate in other collaborative initiatives with partners as the AISC lead.
  • Lead a Peer Working Team with 14 sector analysts to determine data points to be collected, collection methodology, data cleaning and analysis, and assembly into a visual dashboard (see pilot dashboard at https://aisc.ca/labour-market-information/ )
Qualifications
  • Minimum two-year post-secondary course (business, project management).
  • Minimum three years related work experience with projects, with at least one project spanning a year and one project as team lead.
  • Strong project management, administration, organizational skills.
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities under deadlines.
  • Advanced ability to influence, persuade and negotiate to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Strong eye for attention to detail to ensure accuracy.
  • Rich experience with Tableau â„¢ and Simple Survey â„¢ software.
  • Experience in statistical collection and analysis.
  • Familiarity with economic or labour market research an asset.
  • Familiarity with adult education or labour market development an asset.
  • Creative problem solving - solution seeker
  • Self-starter with ability to work both independently and, in a collaborative, team environment
  • Good judgment - know when to ask for guidance
  • Advanced skills in MS Office suite and SharePoint
  • Familiarity with videoconferencing, Google Docs, other office apps and software. AISC is a paperless office.
