Job Description

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Identify capacity requirements
  • Organize and facilitate project planning, release planning, and scrum-related meetings (when required) for multiple development teams
  • Lead and manage a project team.
  • Work with management to secure appropriate resources for the project.
  • Review project guidelines with the team
  • Ensure clarity of roles by defining each team member’s deliverable for the project
  • Create and track a project plan and task break down (or product backlog and sprint burndown for Agile Scrum).
  • Establish and track project milestones and deliverables between functional groups
  • Work with project team to pro-actively identify and manage risks/issues and decisions during the life of the project.
  • Work with stakeholders and functional managers to manage the project budget, scope, timeline and quality of the deliverables.
  • Oversee that team is following functional groups process and procedures.
  • Escalate to the appropriate manager if project guidelines are not being met.
  • Conduct weekly or daily project meetings and produce a weekly status report.
  • Empower the team to self-organize
  • Track risks and issues and escalate appropriately
  • Track and communicate team deliverable progress

Required Work Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, related field, or equivalent work experience
  • 7+ years of proven industry experience in a leadership role
  • Experience in project reporting & analysis
  • Working knowledge of data management applications, data warehousing
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills
  • Strong time and organizational management skill
  • Self-starter and ability to work independently
Nice to have:
  • Project management certification, preferably PMP
