Job Description

Reporting to the Quality Manager, the Quality Inspector will be responsible for Inspection of materials and assemblies in accordance with PPI and Customer quality standards. Conduct inspection to ensure components, hardware and subassemblies are meeting quality standards. Receive and inspect products, components, subassemblies, and/or systems to ensure conformance to requirements and drawings.As a Quality Inspector, your main responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):- Conducts inspection to ensure components, hardware and subassemblies are meeting quality standards.- Responds to queries on the quality of parts- Makes decisions based on documented accept/reject criteria.- Generates detailed nonconformance reports (NCRs) for rejected items- Actively manage backlog of rejected items to achieve targeted cycle time- Supports Quality Assurance or Customer Inspectors during Source and FAI Inspections- Responsible for release of product to stores, verifying that all contractual requirements have been met- Reviews test data sheets for compliance to the test requirements, and ensure all signoffs are complete and legible- Completes Inspection Checklist when required, requests and signs off Release Notes, and routes product to shipping- Performs assembly and other manufacturing functions as required when time allows- This profile reflects the major normal duties of the position.
