Job Description

Casey Metro Ltd. is a family-owned business that manufactures and delivers ready-mix concrete in Halifax. With our headquarters in Bedford, we lead the market in the production and supply of ready-mix concrete throughout the Halifax Regional Municipality. We are renowned in the province for our knowledge of the industry, ethical business practices, quality products and exceptional service.Our company requires the service of a skilled Ready-Mix Truck Driver to work out of our Bedford location.The duties of the position will include:

  • Adding products to the mix manually, when required
  • Cleaning the ready-mix truck and mixer thoroughly, after product delivery
  • Dealing with customers and the general public in a friendly, professional manner
  • Driving in a safe manner to and from job sites
  • Inspecting the product to ensure it meets the specifications, upon delivery
  • Maintaining an accurate logbook
  • Performing necessary pre-trip inspections
  • Performing various administrative duties that include submitting delivery slips to customers, collecting payments for delivery and other tasks
  • Unloading the truck mixer of the product under the direction of the customer
The suitable candidate will possess the qualifications and attributes mentioned below:
  • At least 3 years of driving experience with comparable equipment
  • A valid Class 3 driver’s licence with air brake endorsement
  • Demonstrated record of safe driving and adhering to safety guidelines
  • Detail-oriented, with a strong commitment to quality standards
  • Flexibility in work schedule (early mornings, days, late evenings)
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Previous experience is a definite asset
