We empower our students & faculty to be the best innovators, creators, and entrepreneurs and make an impact on local and global challenges. Ready2Launch (R2L) is a 12-week virtual summer acceleratorprogram providing participating teams with the skills and resources to go from concept stage to business ready stage.R2L develops innovative and entrepreneurial skills, mindset, and resilience in founders and empowers them to thrive in the innovation economy. Reporting to the Associate Director, the Manager implements and manages the Ready2Launch program and Impactify program. Additionally, the Manager supports the Associate Director on operations of the unit and special projects.Key Responsibilities

  • Program management, including planning, designing, and delivering programs, working with facilitators to develop topics and participants, preparing materials for activities, and providing on-site assistance during program delivery.
  • Work closely with other R2L site stakeholders, and faculties across Dalhousie, and other Atlantic Canadian institutions, to ensure effective design, communication, and engagement for all events and R2Lprogramming.
  • Develop a recruitment strategy to increase R2L program participants.
  • Engagement of key stakeholder groups through individual outreach and events.
  • Administration of the R2L program, including managing finances and budgeting.
  • Support and lead special projects with the Associate Director.
NoteThis posting is renewable and contingent on external funding. Occasional evening and weekend work is required.The successful applicant will be eligible for hybrid work (combination of in-person work on campus and remote work) as agreed by all parties based on operational requirements and university guidelines.Dalhousie’s vaccine mandate has been suspended at this time, and employees no longer need to provide proof of full vaccination. However, health and safety risks to our community will continue to be monitored and a vaccine mandate may be reinstated if necessary.QualificationsMaster’s degree in business or a technical field such as life sciences, or engineering plus three to five years of experience in business and project management (or an equivalent combination of training and experience) is required. Preference will be given to applicants with experience in, innovation/ entrepreneurship programs, project management, venture management at an incubator, accelerator, or start-up. A high degree of organizational skill, interpersonal acumen and problem solving ability is required to provide oversight in balancing the multiple priorities, partners, facilities and programs. Excellent oral and written communication skills, enthusiasm for working with and encouraging students, and a high degree of skill.
