They’re Service Stars!Aramark Canada Ltd. is currently seeking two Receivers to join the Dalhousie Food Services team at one of our Residence Dining Halls! Reporting to the Dining Hall Manager or their designate, the Receiver is responsible for actively receiving all product orders and assisting in product ordering. The hourly wage for this role $14.63 and for full-time union roles the wage is subject to increase based on union negotiation.Job Responsibilities

  • Accountable and responsible for maintaining a culture focused on having safety as a value
  • Clean and maintain all kitchen areas as per cleaning schedule
  • Sweep and mop all floors in kitchen areas
  • Clean and sanitize all dishes, cookware, and equipment thoroughly
  • Unload and store all supplies and groceries
  • Assist in placing orders with primary vendors
  • Stock shelves, refrigerators, freezers, and various stations as needed
  • Adhere to all Aramark policies and procedures
  • Assist other locations as required
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • 1+ years’ experience in shipping/receiving role considered an asset
  • 1+ years’ experience in food service considered an asset
  • Valid WHMIS and Food Safe (Basic or Advanced), First Aid Certification considered an asset
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently supervised and unsupervised
  • Frequently reach below waist, waist to shoulder and above shoulder with frequent neck/back/torso twisting from left to right without restriction, reaching horizontally usually less than 20cm but on occasion can exceed 20cm
  • Frequently lift an average weight of approximately 12kg with a maximum of 16kg. On occasions where weight may be greater than 16kg assistance from another person or a manual lifting aid is mandatory
  • Perform repetitive movements at the wrist including side to side/up or down and multiple grasps of an average 5kg with a maximum of 10kg. Simple, powerful and fine finger manipulation for duration of scheduled shift
