This includes investigation into interruptions to transaction processing and resolving financial concerns while also managing new business onboarding to the ecosystem. As the last stop for quality control, the incumbent will also be responsible for maintaining UAT standards to validate all changes being made to the ecosystem prior to implementation.What will you do

  • Provide a broad End to End perspective of cheque processing for overall demands, solutions and development to recommend the best approach that will benefit the client base and RBC to ensure the strategic direction is met
  • Drive, develop and execute on the vision, mandate, and target operating model for the RBPT & Business Operations, ensuring a Service Provider Mindset approach
  • Lead Day to day and L2 operational support, investigation and efficiency identification to streamline processes.
  • Resolve complex issues and escalates/manages resolution as required
  • Assist in root cause analysis of production issues and contribute in defining the solution approach either from a systemic or operational approach.
  • Challenge and influence work activities to increase delivery, effectiveness and drive continuous improvement of processes, procedures and control functions
  • Ensures operational risk activities are effectively managed and addressed
  • Oversees the completion of UAT planning and execution.
  • Backlog management of client onboarding activities to ensure timely scheduling of activities with clients and stakeholders.
  • Backlog management of enhancements assigned to the regional Halifax team maintaining quality deliverables and prioritizing business requests as needed.
  • Clearly communicate DCP requirements, both ad-hoc and planned, so that they are clearly understood by all business stakeholders, DCP team & Senior Stakeholders
  • Effectively manages staffing levels for Product Owners, Operation Analysts and UAT resources to efficiently meet project delivery requirements.
Metrics, Reporting and Governance
  • Develop reports for management on Quality Control KPIs to improve the process effectiveness, efficiency, and data accuracy
  • Ensure compliance from RBC groups pertaining to DCP Change Management policy and procedures
  • Enable process adherence through reporting and dashboards
  • Create and analyze reporting results/dashboard and identify issues, trends and communicate to Management
  • Utilizing OKR’s ensure business benefits are measurable and delivered through new enhancements.
Relationships & Communication
  • Maintain an effective working relationship with key stakeholders ensuring maximum value with each request.
  • Work with the Management team to ensure appropriate action plans are developed to address identified control deficiencies, and to ensure corrective actions are implemented in a timely manner.
  • Resolve conflicts/issues and escalate to others as appropriate.
Team Management

  • Ability to effectively understand the risks associated with emerging, new or existing technologies and to formulate practical procedures to evaluate and monitor controls.
