The work focuses on explaining how children, youth and adults thrive in family, school, workplace and community settings under stress. Through its partnerships with researchers, policymakers and clinicians around the globe, the Centre has built a world-renowned resource hub of resilience expertise and toolsto support individuals and communities on their path to psychological, social, cultural and physical well-being.Job SummaryReporting to the Director, Resilience Research Centre, the Research Centre Manager will support different research activities (from literature reviews and data collection to grant writing and organizing meetings to share study results), oversee day-to-day financial and HR operations of the Centre, and maintain and update the Centre’s social media accounts for multiple concurrent research projects for several countries.Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct literature reviews and synthesize evidence. Contribute to presentations, reports, and journal articles.
  • Support field research processes (qualitative and quantitative data collection).
  • Carry out day-to-day administrative functions, coordinate and facilitate activities including meetings and conferences.
  • Recruit, interview, hire, orient and train new research staff.
  • Create and manage annual operating and project budgets.
  • Support the identification and administration of research grants and funding opportunities. Oversee the administration of funding proposals and ethics applications.

However, health and safety risks to our community will continue to be monitored and a vaccine mandate may be reinstated if necessary.QualificationsUndergraduate degree with 2 years of related experience in research, evaluation and project management, is preferred. Experience working in an academic or research environment is strongly preferred. Familiarity with managing budgets, hiring and coordinating activities and meetings is required. Excellent interpersonal skills, verbal and written communication skills and sensitivity working with diverse cultures in various contexts are required.
