Visit us today and check out www.novascotia.com to see why more people from across the globe are moving here.About the OpportunityReporting to the Principal Investigator (PI) or Research Manager, and under the direction of the Research Coordinator, the Research Secretary is responsible to provide administrative support to the research team.The Endocrinology Research Secretary would provide administrative support to all research team members (Research Coordinators and the Research Manager). In addition to the major responsibilities outlined in the job description, administrative duties would include booking research subjects in the STAR/PHS booking system and maintenance of the Endocrinology Research Database. The successful incumbent should have exceptional organizational skills and a keen eye for detail.About YouWe would love to hear from you if you have the following:

• Grade 12 Required
• Successful completion of a one year Secretarial/Business diploma or equivalent combination of education, training and experience required
• Minimum of two years related secretarial/administrative experience required
• Medical Terminology Course preferred
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint), email and internet
• Effective communication, customer service, problem solving, and decision-making skills
• Well-developed organizational, time management, and daily planning skills
• Ability to work independently as well as within a multi-disciplinary team environment
• CCRP (Certified Clinical Research Professional) or CCRA (Certified Clinical Research Associate) an asset
• Experience in clinical research an asset
