Peters Place is a brain injury treatment facility providing physical and cognitive rehabilitation for persons living with acquired brain injury; dedicated to enhancing the independence and quality of life for people living with an Acquired Brain Injury.As an ABI Support Worker with Peters Place, your role will be in providing support to residents and their families that need assistance recovering from traumatic / non-traumatic brain injury. Your job will be to assist individuals with their daily routines, including preparing meals, maintaining personal hygiene, running errands, monitoring medication and recovery, and informal counseling support.As the ideal candidate you are truly interested in providing personal care and support services to people with an Acquired Brain Injury. You have a deep sense of compassion for others, a strong moral and ethical code, a strong desire to help others and be able to inspire. You have the ability to gain the confidence and respect from clients and the people around you.You will be required to work with a team and independently.This is a unique night-shift only position. This position allows staff to rest in a quiet part of the home.Skill Requirements: Since this a specialized treatment facility, it is not a requirement to have any formal training. The company will provide on-site training of the core competencies required to do the job.Education: Completion of High School Diploma as a minimum.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: We are seeking individuals who are reliable, compassionate, caring, dedicated and good communicators who can make a positive contribution to people living with acquired brain injury. On a daily basis, you will have to make decisions, which will require strong critical thinking skills.Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Work under pressure, Repetitive tasks, Physically demanding, Attention to detail.Security and Safety: The successful candidate will shall be required to provide a satisfactory criminal record check including a vulnerable sector check.We are also hiring for a Community Rehab support worker. The position involves working in a clients home and supporting them in their rehab goals. Candidates must be able to work independently and have a valid drivers licence.$500 rentention bonus after 3 month probationary period.Shifts are 12hrs.This position is for nighttime shifts only, 745pm-8am.Job Types: Full-time, PermanentSalary: $18.00-$21.00 per hourBenefits:
