Job Description

Matrix is hiring Scaffolders for an exciting long-term project in Halifax, NS.No LOA or travel as we are looking for local candidates for this role. The candidates will be working indoors in a controlled environment. Additional overtime is being offered for this position. Our client has been building quality vessels for over 50 years and has been in the forefront of Canadian shipbuilding for over 130 years.Key Responsibilities:

  • Erect, dismantle, inspect, and certify scaffolding.
  • Perform care and preservation work.
  • Wear company-issued coveralls and/or work wear and all assigned Personal Protective Equipment.
  • Work safely.
Requirements:
  • Experience in carpentry.
  • Fall protection ticket.
  • Confined space entry ticket.
  • WHMIS 2015.
  • HSE orientation.
  • ISI Medium Voltage Cable Training.
  • ISI Lockout Tag Training.
  • ISI Security Orientation (in-person).
  • Must be able to commute to work daily.
Qualifications:
  • You must be eligible to work in Canada to apply for this job.
  • A pre-employment Government Security Clearance/Background and Credit check will need to be completed.
  • Full PPE + Fit Tested Respirator Mask.
