Visit us today and check out www.novascotia.com to see why more people from across the globe are moving here.ResponsibilitiesReporting to the Health Services Manager and working under the direction of the Team Leader, the Scheduler is responsible for creating, managing, inputting and implementing changes to the Dalhousie Family Medicine Mumford and Spryfield Clinic schedule. The scheduling is multi-layered and complex due to the academic model it supports. The scheduler must adhere to scheduling guidelines and protocols to ensure residents are paired with appropriate supervisors, as well as ensuring adequate appointment access for patients . This position requires an individual with superior communication, organization and time management skills.Qualifications

  • Grade 12 or GED
  • One year related post-secondary education or two years relevant experience (i.e. working with hospital schedules)
  • One year related clerical experience
  • Knowledge of Practimax scheduling interface required
  • Experience in a primary health care setting an asset
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office with strong working knowledge of Excel
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and prioritization skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred
  • A skills test may be performed for this position.
