Job Description

Remote – CanadaMOBIA Technology Innovations is a Systems Integration company with multiple business unit areas: Broadband and Wireless Services, Managed Services, Infrastructure Solutions, Cybersecurity and Application and Data Services. Working with Service Providers, Government, Healthcare, and Enterprises across Canada, MOBIA has developed strategic business relationships with industry leading technology partners to help our customers achieve positive business outcomes.We are growing and we have an exciting new opportunity for a Security Consultant to join the MOBIA team. This is a 100% remote position; however, you are welcome in any of our offices. If you are passionate, organized, and believe in working hard and having fun, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!Responsibilities:

  • Under the supervision of a Team Lead:
  • Work with a customer’s senior staff to understand the requirements
  • Perform assessments against a defined framework and provide recommendations on closing the identified gaps
  • Customize policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines per customer needs using an in-house documents library
  • Assist in developing new documens
  • Present deliverables and explain solutions to the customers
  • Enrich MOBIA’s cyber security practice with your knowledge beyond the GRC domain
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • At least 2-3 years of experience in GRC, including participation in assessments (audits), providing recommendations, developing documents for security programs, etc.
  • Good knowledge of major GRC frameworks and standards: CIS Controls, NIST CSF and 800-53, PCI DSS, ISO 27001, SOC; understanding of the risk management
  • Good knowledge of technical aspects of cyber security
  • Physical presence in Canada (background check requirement)
Nice-to-haves:
  • CRISC certification or equivalent knowledge
  • Technical cyber security certifications (Security+ and up) or equivalent knowledge
  • Experience in any other domain of cyber security (pentesting, incident response, etc.)
  • Previous experience in consulting
