About The RoleWe #39;re looking for a seasoned Senior Consultant, Employee Benefits to join our dynamic Benefits Consulting Practice, supporting medium to large-sized clients. The Senior Consultant, Employee Benefits role is a strong client manager.The successful candidate must be committed to completing high-quality, client-ready work. They should be continually developing their knowledge of the group benefits industry, gaining insights into the organization, and understanding the work done by other practices.What You #39;ll Do- Maintaining service and revenue accountability for medium to large-sized clients- Building knowledge, staying informed about other lines of business, and identifying cross-selling opportunities- Growing and building business with current and prospective clients- Ensuring delivery of high-quality work that meets client needs, including:- Analyzing financial and claims information relating to benefits plans, annual renewals, and client proposals- Evaluating the cost and design competitiveness of client benefit plans- Negotiating service and premium rate agreements with insurance providers- Delivering presentations to clients; conducting client meetings- Reviewing and providing advice related to benefit plan contracts and documentation- Managing multiple clients and/or providing senior support for large clients- Building and maintaining excellent relations with clients and internal colleagues- Leading client meetings and presenting work to clients- Identifying problems and implementing proactive and creative solutions- Interpreting benefits legislation and standards and educating team members as appropriate- Managing the relationship between clients, administrators, insurance providers, and team- Acting as a mentor to team members, supporting their growth and development- Leading internal training sessions to build knowledge of industry topics and trends- Participating in external training and industry conferences and seminars- Participating in special projects as required- Acting as a resource to the Employee Benefits PracticeWhat You #39;ll Need for Success- Currently Holding a valid LLQP License a must- Post-Secondary Education in related Group Benefits (CEBS) or Actuarial Sciences- Knowledge of the Canadian benefits industry and prior experience (7-10+ years) in consulting, underwriting, and/or insurance- Strong mathematical analytical skills- Strong Employee Benefits Consultancy and/or new business experience- Excellent communication, project management, collaboration, presentation, and negotiation skills- High attention to detail, and accuracy- Excellent time management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively;- Advanced-level proficiency with computers software including Microsoft Office Suite and specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint- Being bilingual in English and French an asset- Travel for client travel, team meetings and industry eventsWhy Choose HUBWhen you choose HUB, you #39;re choosing the largest insurance brokerage in Canada and 5th largest global insuranceamp; employee benefits broker supported by over 19,000 professionals in 500 offices across North America.
