This means that you must both look and act the part of a professional bartender to instill confidence in the guests, many of whom are dining with Le Rouge for the first time. You build the trust of our guests and you provide clarity of what is about to begin. You are the one responsible for introducing the guest to the experience by telling our story, providing menu recommendations and accompanying beverage and extending to them the premium experience that the brand carries.Server Assistant Job DescriptionThe Server Assistant is responsible for the overall dining experience of each guest along with assisting the serving and bartending team. The Server Assistant plays a key role in the functionality of the restaurant. They ensure the restaurant is fully prepared before and during service so everything runs smoothly. It’s important to remember to stay ahead of the duties so that you can be relaxed and make it look effortless. Be yourself, have fun and create a memorable and lasting impression whereby every one of our guests can’t wait to come back. Your passion for the guest experience is the cornerstone of our success.Role of the Server Assistant

  • Possess expert knowledge of restaurant layout and ability to move throughout building with refined sense of urgency
  • Assist in expedition of food and beverages
  • Maintain proficiency in menu knowledge including allergens and sensitive ingredients
  • Assists bartenders with preparation and stock
  • Swiftly clear and reset dining room and bar while providing an enjoyable dining space for the guest without any intrusion
  • Support team in set up and execution of service
  • Be knowledgeable about all aspects of the restaurant including, but not limited to: store hours, parking availability, current promotions and specials, and store policies and procedures
  • Maintain a friendly and professional demeanor at all times during all interactions with guests
  • Possess a sincere attitude to be of service to others with a desire to succeed
Position KPIs and Responsibilities
  • Knowledge of property including property information, amenities, hours of operation and parking availability
  • Delivery of food & beverage to tables in the dining room
  • Cleanliness of workspace, completion of cleaning schedules, and vigilant on-going maintenance of reception area.
  • Handling guest concerns with and without the support of the management team
  • Providing the highest quality of service at all times in all guest interactions
  • On-going cleanliness of overall dining room and bar – table resets, floors, and chairs
  • Handling guest concerns with and without the support of the management team

  • Clearing, setting, polishing and cleaning tables, glassware & utensils
  • Preparation and cleanliness of dining room & service stands before, after & during each service
  • Maintenance of cleaning duty schedule and daily maintenance of direct work spaces
  • Food expedition and proper expo etiquette. Thorough communication of guest notes, allergies or preferences on each dish
  • Proper adherence to all cash handling procedures as outlined in company policies
  • Correct use of POS system, adhering to all company standards and policies
  • Prepare necessary items to seamlessly serve our guests including but not limited to polishing glassware and silverware, restocking bar and side stations, preparing water and assisting fellow team members
  • Ensure food is presented with exceptional level of detail prior to delivering to guests
  • Perform opening and closing procedures including any assigned side work

  • Current and valid Serve Right certification
