Job Description

DescriptionThe Service Technician, Welding Equipment operates across all three sites as primary support for inspecting, servicing, cleaning, troubleshooting, and performing preventivecorrective maintenance tasks on welding equipment. Technicians use problem solving skills working with industrial equipment and technologies. The goal is to keep the equipment maintained and operational to ensure the safety of the employees, the quality of the product and the efficiency of all welding equipment and systems.Responsibilities

  • Lead the implementation and execution of preventative, predictive, and reactive maintenance for welding equipment and systems.
  • Problem solves through observation of electrical/mechanical devices in operation and removal of defective parts.
  • Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments.
  • Follow diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer’s instructions, and engineering specifications to troubleshoot malfunctions.
  • Work with Inventory Control Team to ensure availability of critical equipment and forecast spare part requirements.
  • Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Assist in anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies Conserves maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job.
  • Identify opportunities for improved safety, efficiency, cost saving or regulatory gaps and develop strategies to support. Liaison with production teams as required to ensure equipment is performing and operating to meet production and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Prepares Regular Monitor and analysis reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
Qualifications
  • Community College - Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Technology.
  • Certified Electrical Technician or Technologist.
  • Certified/Qualification to repair equipment and systems. Certified/Qualification can be via recognized institute and or Certification of training from Manufacturer via Employer.
  • 1-3 years general industrial experience combined with knowledge of equipment reliability, setup techniques for equipment and systems.
  • Demonstrated experience in analyzing equipment and systems to calibrate, service, trouble shoot and install.
  • Proficient with computer softwareamp; office applications.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and gas schematics, blueprints and/or operation manuals as required for area of responsibility.
