Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTIONWe are always looking for the right misfits for our island. If you enjoy a fast-paced work environment and working with a team of dedicated, engaging, fun-loving, idea-generating blazers of trails and celebrator of all things quirky, please fill out the form below to be considered for our Production team.We are seeking a Shift Brewer for our current & new facility.This is an opportunity to join a rapidly blooming brand at a very exciting and pivotal moment in our companys storybook.Note: Please note the listed salary includes a packaging team tip-out system componentDuties include, but are not limited to:

  • Produce wort within specifications in the brew house, cool into fermenters, yeast handling
  • Recipe development with the Lead Brewer
  • CIP brew house, tanks, and associated equipment
  • Operation of canning and kegging lines
  • Data entry, spreadsheet calculations and other analytical tasks
  • Maintain CIP checklists; remove recycling and garbage as required
  • Handling of brewing materials as needed
  • Perform cleaning and other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS
  • Minimum of 2 years professional brewing experience
  • Bachelor Degree of Science / Brewing College Diploma or sufficient Hands-on brewing experience (preferred, not required)
  • General mechanical aptitude, good troubleshooting, and quick learning skills
  • Knowledge of brewery’s CIP and cleaning chemicals, and WHMIS
  • Good math and computer skills with working knowledge of MS Office Suite
  • A positive work attitude, with the ability to multi-task; reliable
  • Must be physically fit to be able to spend long hours standing and perform occasional medium to heavy lifting (e.g. specialty malt or hops up to 25 kgs)
  • Ability to work in a safe and efficient manner
  • Ability to perform duties to a high level of standard under minimal direct supervision
