Job Description

Located in the absolute centre of downtown in the vibrant Halifax Waterfront, in the heart of the new Queen’s Marque district, Muir offers elevated hospitality inspired by the spirit, culture and natural beauty of Nova Scotia. In each of our departments, our team shares a common goal – providing an exceptional customer experience in a clean, comfortable environment. The Muir is presently seeking a Spin Instructor.Shifts: Vary in their start and end time and can change due to the needs of our guests. A mixture of days, evenings, holidays and weekend shifts.What you will be doing:

  • Instruct challenging and enthusiastic group fitness classes for Guests and Residents of all levels
  • Create fun, effective, and energetic classes, and have the ability to adapt the class to the class participants
  • Lead and instruct individuals and groups through carefully-structured program sessions
  • Build and sustain relationships with new and existing participants
  • Arrive early to any scheduled class to set up the room and answer any client questions
Your experience and skills include:
  • Minimum 1-year pervious teaching experience teaching indoor cycling class preferred
  • Current Standard First Aid certification an asset
  • Passionate about teaching and willing to work with clients of all fitness levels
  • Friendly and personable with a positive attitude
  • Organized and reliable
