Join us!After 143 days and 5,373 kilometres, Terry was forced to stop running outside of Thunder Bay, Ontario. Before returning to BC for treatment Terry said, “I’m going to do my very best. I’ll fight. I promise I won’t give up.” He never did. And neither will we. If Terry Fox and his Marathon of Hope have meaning for you and you are passionate about making a difference in the lives of people who battle cancer, The Terry Fox Foundation would like to hear from you.Position: Temporary, Full-Time Summer Position, 35 hours per weekDate: June 27th – August 26th, 2022Hours: Monday- Friday, 9am –5pm (Hours may vary to include evenings + weekends)Eligibility: Applicants must -

  • Be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of the employment
  • Be Canadian citizens, permanent residents or persons to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act
  • Have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial and territorial legislation and regulations
What you’ll be doing:
  • Prepare, collate and distribute Run information kits
  • Data entry, processing for 2022 School Run/Community Run registrations
  • Maintaining the administration of files and correspondence for Terry Fox events
  • Updating and maintaining records in (CRM) Salesforce
  • Overseeing merchandise inventory, including receiving deliveries and shipping orders
  • Calling prospective registrants for 2022 participation to support recruitment efforts
  • Assisting stakeholders and public inquiries as needed – replying to incoming email, phone inquiries
  • General office duties and to assist with other special projects as required

  • Excellent initiative and ability to work as a team player
