Job Description

Position Overview:The Supply Chain Analyst will analyze, measure, report on, and improve all aspects of the supply chain process. This position is critical to the overall success of materiel management for the whole of the Cormorant Program and interacts daily with internal and external customers.Key Areas of Responsibility:Manage inventory control reorder point levels within MRP system based on historical data and production planning activity.Minimize material/asset shortages to ensure production schedule is not negatively impacted.Minimize financial impact of inventory/asset holdings.Collaborate with other departments to maintain/improve cross functional communication, decision making and daily management of processes.Develop and implement strategies to improve inventory turns and find efficiencies in transactional tasks.Ascertain root cause and implement preventative measures for material shortages.Take a proactive approach to identify and resolve inventory control issues before they occur.Monitor and report inventory performance metrics.Monitor and report supplier performance metrics.Improve and maintain the integrity of material data within an MRP system.Identify, report, and take action to minimize dormant or excess inventory holdings.Ensure contractual obligations surrounding material sourcing are met.Complete supply chain operational analyses and projects as recommended or required.Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives related to supply chain and overall health of programPosition Requirements:Bachelors Degree within an analytically focused discipline such as Industrial Engineering, Operations, or Business.Strong analytical skills, applicable to supply chain measurement and business process improvementStrong communication skills, both written and spoken.Strong business process improvement & change management skillsComfort in communicating with individuals at all levels of the organization.Understanding of financial impacts of supply chain management / business decisionsStrong SQL and database skills or report writing skillsHigh level of proficiency using Excel, PowerPivot and Business Intelligence software.Strong knowledge of MRP and Inventory Control practices.Experience with JD Edwards or other ERP Systems preferred.Any related certification would be an asset but not required: CPIM, P.Log, SCMP, P.Eng.Experience working in an industrial, manufacturing or aerospace environment would be an asset.Must be eligible to meet requirements for Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Canadian government security clearancesQualified applicants are invited to apply on-line at www.impgroup.com.Internal applicants please use source code: I am an IMP employee.IMP is committed to Employment Equity and our goal is to be a diverse workforce that is representative at all job levels.
