Job Description

L3 Technologies MAS, located in Enfield (NS), is a subsidiary of L3Harris Technologies, Inc.As Supply Chain Specialist (Enfield) at L3 MAS you will have the responsibility for coordinating the planning and controlling of material flow to support our customer requirements.You will be asked to participate in the ongoing review of current logistics strategies to ensure the flow of material between the point of origin and the point of use is meeting or exceeding the requirements of demand. You will need to familiarize yourself with program and customer requirements to ensure all demands are being met while maintaining an optimal level of inventory. You will be called upon to work closely with several functions within the company (program, engineering, procurement, methods, production and finance) in a multi-contract context.Essential Functions:

  • Participate in the review and or development and implementation of material management strategies;
  • Develop and maintain performance indicators at the materiel management level;
  • Using statistical methods and considering the various inputs from different specialists, generate a detailed long term material forecast;
  • Ensure data quality is preserved; (ex: unit price accuracy, data cleansing, monitoring old transactions);
  • Identify and manage obsolete inventory;
  • Actively participate in the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives to improve materiel management;
  • Prepare and submit material management report to internal and external customers;
  • Provide material management support to the operations where needed;
  • Analyze the available data as well as the history of inventory levels in order to:
    • Rigorously monitor inventory levels;
    • Identify and set up, if necessary, an inventory level management;
    • Identify, analyze and report deviations, adjustments, causes of stock outs or expired expiration dates;
    • Identify, analyze and communicate the optimal method of material rotation;
  • Participate in the development, implementation and communication of materiel management procedure and governance rules.
