Industry Job TitleSystem Integration/Test EngineerJob Reference Number13285BREmployee TypeFull TimeVacancy TypePermanentTown/RegionHalifax, NSAbout the roleThe Successful candidate will be called to work at Canadian Forces Base (CFB) Stadacona in Halifax once the necessary security clearances have been granted by the Government of Canada (CANADA).The Candidate will be involved in the Halifax Class Frigate In-Service Support (ISS) Program, supporting the total engineering life cycle from specification, design, development, integration and test, and field trouble shooting for systems and capabilities on a highly complex Naval Combat suite.The candidate will function in a multi-disciplined team environment.Duties and Responsibilities include:

  • Develop test plans and procedures to verify system requirements in an Agile environment
  • Conduct formal test activities in the Land Based Test Site (LBTS) with the customer
  • Document results in the Lockheed Martin Canada Inc. (Lockheed Martin) Test Management system
  • Document asses and test deficiencies using the Lockheed Martin defect tracking tool
  • Perform Shipboard testing
  • Work with minimum supervision and follow common company processes.

  • Bachelor #39;s Degree from an accredited university in Computer science or equivalent experience / combined education with three (3) years professional experience will be considered or military/civilian technical training with 3-5 years of professional experience
  • Professional experience as an Above-Water Warfare Director (AWWD)
  • Experience with Fire Control Director (FCD)
  • Knowledge of Above-Water Warfare (AWW) subsystems
  • Equivalent experience/ combined education will be considered
  • Must be willing to support schedule environment including evenings and weekends as required
  • Aptitude for solving challenging problems in a team environment
  • Have a high degree of initiative and autonomy
  • Have a high learning ability
  • Must be able to obtain a North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) Secret level security Clearance.
Additional skills desired for the role
  • Software test experience
  • Software test Automation experience
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite
  • Familiarity with Linux is considered an asset
  • Familiarity with Dynamic Object-Oriented Requirements System (DOORS)
  • Experience with Agile Scrum methodology is considered an asset
  • Experience with Military Naval domain and Operations
  • Experience in Combat Management System 330 (CMS 330) operation is considered an asset
  • Active NATO Secret security clearance is considered an asset.
