Looking for an opportunity to work in the financial services industry leveraging your system analyst skills We are looking for a senior System Analyst/Systems Engineer with experience in integrating system components.This opportunity is in the Compliance area of the banking sector, providing support for a number of applications critical to the bank. Persons should have a high degree of consulting ability and business acumen, be very technical with experience troubleshooting complex systems, and be very good at problem analysis and communication with business users.This opportunity will be of particular interest to those who enjoy Application Maintenance and Support work, and who really enjoy solving problems. It is also desirable if the person has experience with Java and systems design. At CGI, all employees are called members because they feel a powerful sense of ownership and accountability.Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesProvides technical leadership to team members. This includes:

  • Provide root cause analysis of issues reported by users by leveraging data flow analysis
  • Develop integration plans for deployment of system changes into existing environments
  • Provide oversight to developers including code review and application design support
  • Work collaboratively with client BAs and developers in investigating and resolving user requests
  • Collaborating with Quality Assurance and Release management teams for implementation of projects and patching release cycles
  • Monitoring of daily processing and engaging support teams when required
  • Tracking of processing statistics for all line-of-business, and presenting results to client
  • Management of user access and accounts
  • Collaborate with other teams to develop installation instructions and build books for systems
  • Coordinate and conducting DR tests
  • Maintain existing documentation and knowledge base for applications supported
Must Have Technical Skills
  • System Analysis
  • Functional design
  • Application Maintenance, Integration, management
  • Working knowledge of operating systems, network protocols, computer hardware
  • Knowledge of ticketing systems such as JIRA or Service Now
  • System Integration experience
  • Experience tracing log files for sources of error
  • Minimum 2-year post-secondary education in IT or related disciple with 5+ years experience
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in working with clients in a daily setting
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent technical documentation skills
  • Strong analytical skills; ability to root cause data issues
  • Strong communication skills
Nice To Have Technical Skills
  • Experience with Java
  • Experience with job scheduler tools such as Autosys
  • Experience with compliance applications such as Nice/Actimize
  • Windows and Linux administration experience
