The department is one-of-a-kind and was established for research into what makes humans and animals behave the way that they do, as well as to understand the structure and function of the nervous system. Reporting to the Department Administrator, the Workshop Technician, Carpentry is responsible for the operation of the departmental woodworking and machine shop. The Workshop Technician designs, constructs, maintains and repairs equipment and apparatus used in teaching and research primarily by the Psychology and Neuroscience Department staff and students, as well as potentially other departments in the Faculty of Science.Key Responsibilities
