Job descriptionPOSITION:Program Lead – Front Line/After School ProgramPart Time PositionFACILITY:Halifax Centre of HopeHalifax, NSLOCATION:JOB PURPOSE:The Activity Assistant carries out program activities to meet the physical, social, spiritual and emotional needs of the residents.CHARACTERISTIC JOB DUTIES:- Assist the Coordinator with the creation of child/youth programs, including program preparation and delivery.- Deliver daily program (leading activities and assisting with daily program evaluation).- Build and maintain positive, encouraging relationships with the Client (children & parents/caregivers).- Apply Open Arms policies as they relate to program delivery.
