Our Core Values are: Collaboration; Innovation; Growth; Integrity and Have Fun!Position SummaryThe System Administrator is crucial in managing and optimizing the organization #39;s and its customers #39; IT infrastructure. Responsible for maintaining and enhancing diverse systems, they focus primarily on Windows and Linux servers, demonstrating expertise in Windows Server (2016/2019/2022), Active Directory, Group Policies, and Office 365. The role also involves managing cloud services on AWS and Azure platforms and managing virtual servers through Hyper-V and VMWare ESXi. The administrator employs tools like LogMeIn and Datto for remote system access and monitoring, ensuring optimal performance and high accessibility.Furthermore, their responsibilities extend to complete network infrastructure management, including setting VPNs, VLAN management, and upkeep of the LAN/WAN architecture. A crucial part of their role is maintaining high network security levels, primarily through the skilled management of Sophos XGS Firewalls.Beyond technical proficiency, the role requires strong collaboration and communication skills. These skills are crucial for working effectively with internal teams and customers, aligning IT strategies with the organization #39;s and its customers #39; business objectives, and ensuring a high level of service.Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee the organization #39;s network #39;s design, implementation, and maintenance, enhancing reliability performance and preparing for growth.
  • Make informed decisions on system design and implementation, emphasizing best practices and security.
  • Manage and support all server infrastructure, including analyzing system needs and performance.
  • Direct onsite and cloud-based backup and recovery processes for organizational and customer data.
  • Provide Tier 2 support to our field technicians and Lottery users for our proprietary back-office applications and environment.
  • Collaborate across departments to standardize IT practices and align with company objectives.
  • Monitor and optimize system performance, including load balancing and connectivity.
  • Regularly update and secure systems through patch application.
  • Ensure optimal configuration of operating systems and adherence to company policies.
  • Develop comprehensive documentation and effectively communicate technical information within the organization.
  • Undertake additional tasks as required, adapting to evolving IT needs.
  • Consistently demonstrate the ability to practice Diamond Game #39;s core values and apply them.
  • Perform other tasks and duties as needed and/or requested by management.
Educationamp; Experience Requirements
  • Recent certifications and S./B.A.in Computer Science, Information Systems, Telecommunications, or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Recent certifications and B.S./B.A. in Computer Science, Information Systems, Telecommunications, or equivalent experience prefer
  • 4+ years #39; experience working in a high‐availability network
  • VMware Virtual Server certification
  • Proficient knowledge in all areas of Windows and Linux system administration and networking including enterprise backup solutions, anti‐virus solutions, patch management and
  • 4+ years supporting Enterprise networks.
Knowledge and Abilities Requirements
  • Excellent business process analysis and reengineering.
  • Experience with project management best practices.
  • Familiarity with standard IT practices related to System Administration network maintenance/enhancement, monitoring, and implementation.
  • Strong desire to work in a team environment.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Effective network diagraming skills using Visio.
  • Effective Project Management skills.
  • Basic understanding of MSSQL Server and SQL scripting.
  • Experience working in a dynamic environment.
  • High-level skills in Microsoft operating systems, office products, and email.
  • Adheres to Company standards and methodology.
  • Adheres to Company confidentiality and security requirements.
  • Must carry a cell phone during business work hours and on‐call hours.
  • Flexible hours as needed for projects.
  • Ability to perform duties under minimal to no supervision while exercising discretion and independent judgment.
