Job Description

Job Title: Maintenance MechanicLocation: Hamilton, OntarioSalary: $41.00-$43.00/hr + Night Shift Premium + Dual Ticket Premium + Tool AllowanceBenefits: Unionized, Full BenefitsJob Summary:We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team in Hamilton! As a key player in maintaining and optimizing our equipment, you’ll ensure smooth operations in a fast-paced environment. This role offers a competitive salary, night shift premium, dual ticket premium, tool allowance, and more — an opportunity not to be missed!Responsibilities:

  • Interpret blueprints and diagrams to determine work procedures.
  • Install, troubleshoot, and maintain power transmission, vacuum, hydraulic, pneumatic systems, and programmable logic controls.
  • Inspect and examine machinery to identify irregularities and malfunctions.
  • Adjust and repair machinery, replacing defective parts as necessary.
  • Operate machine tools to fabricate parts for machinery maintenance and overhaul.
  • Assemble machinery and equipment prior to installation.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and install processing equipment.
  • Optimize equipment for safety, efficiency, and reliability.
  • Adhere to food safety, health and safety, and environmental procedures.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and service on production and bakery equipment.
  • Improve equipment functionality through design enhancements.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and hazard-free work environment.
Qualifications:
  • Industrial Millwright 433A license.
  • 4-5 years of industrial mechanical experience.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in the food industry or high-speed manufacturing environment.
  • Valid driver’s license.
