We are currently looking for a compassionate, self-motivated individual to join our team as a Family Resource Worker. Within a school-based setting you will assist students and their families with a wide range of social, emotional and behavioral challenges. Effective planning and organizational strategies and the ability to contribute within a team environment are essential.Al-Amal Academy is located in North West Calgary and provides an Islamic learning environment that offers an accredited program of studies compliant with the Alberta curriculum. Al-Amal Academy is a K-9 school that offers a wide variety of learning opportunities including regular classroom studies as well as foreign language, computer science and sports groups. Familiarity with the Muslim faith is highly recommended. Emergency call out over July and August may be required. Occasional travel to other areas within the division will be necessary. Responsibilities will commence on the first day of the 2022-2023 school year.Preference will be given to a candidate who has acquired a College Diploma or a University Degree in a human services/health related field (a degree in Social Work would be preferred). A combination of education, training and relevant experience may be considered. You must hold a membership or be eligible to hold a membership within your professional designation.
